Visitor's Guide to A Night In Old San Antonio (NIOSA)

Prepare for an unforgettable experience at NIOSA, held in the historic La Villita district of downtown San Antonio. This comprehensive guide helps you plan your visit, understand entry policies, and make the most of your time at the festival.


Entry Policies & Safety

  • All attendees and their belongings are subject to search for safety.
  • No refunds on admission tickets, food/beverage coupons, or complimentary tickets.
  • NIOSA is a rain or shine event.

Directions & Parking

NIOSA is hosted in La Villita (418 Villita, San Antonio, TX 78205), bordered by Alamo Street, So. Presa Street, and E. Nueva Street on the scenic San Antonio River. Ample parking is available nearby, with rates set by the City of San Antonio and private contractors. Public transportation options include VIA Park & Ride and river taxis that drop you near event gates. Cyclists can use the Bike Corral at S. Alamo & E. Nueva Street (bring your own lock).


Prohibited Items & Bag Policy

  • No weapons, animals (except ADA-compliant service animals), strollers, ice chests, outside food/beverage, recreational wheels, drones, folding chairs, smoking, or backpacks over 12"x12"x6" allowed.
  • Clear or mesh backpacks are permitted; all bags may be screened at entry.

Service Animal Policy

Only trained service dogs or miniature horses (as defined by ADA guidelines) are allowed. Emotional support animals are not permitted.


Alcohol & Age Verification


  • Valid government-issued photo ID required for alcohol purchases. No sales to anyone under 21. Alcohol sales end at 10:00 p.m.

By entering NIOSA, you consent to being photographed or filmed for use in media and promotional materials.

Proceeds from A Night In Old San Antonio fund the San Antonio Conservation Society’s mission to support restoration and preservation of historic properties, parks, waterways, traditions and the intangible heritage of this multicultural city and its neighboring counties through education, advocacy, grants and preservation projects and programs.
