Sauerkraut Bend - Bratwurst / Broetchen

San Antonio’s German influence dates to the early 1800's, when immigrants built their homes in the King William neighborhood along a bend in the San Antonio River. Visitors to the cool, spacious hall enjoy Sausage on a Stick, Black Forest Cake, Bretzels (pretzels), Bavarian Kreme, Bratwurst Broetchen, Sausage Sampler, Ice Cream, Deutsche Nachtische, Potato Pancakes and Pigs in a Blanket.

A traditional German Oompah/polka band provides continuous entertainment (including the popular Chicken Dance) And a performance by the Cadence Cloggers. Cold drinks, beer and wine are available.

Proceeds from A Night In Old San Antonio fund the San Antonio Conservation Society’s mission to support restoration and preservation of historic properties, parks, waterways, traditions and the intangible heritage of this multicultural city and its neighboring counties through education, advocacy, grants and preservation projects and programs.
event hours: 5:30PM – 10:30PM. Alcohol Sales Cease at 10:00PM.
