Update:

May 19, 2021 Update

As of May 19, 2021, A Night In Old San Antonio® and the Conservation Society of San Antonio are pleased to announce an update on its mask policy for NIOSA. Terry Schoenert, Conservation Society Fourth Vice President/2021 NIOSA® Chairman, states: “In light of the recent CDC announcement that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask, NIOSA will not require a mask for guests and volunteers who have been vaccinated; we do ask that unvaccinated guests please wear a mask when possible. We will not require proof of vaccination status."

The City of San Antonio and Metro Health will set up three mobile Covid-19 vaccination sites all nights of 2021 NIOSA (June 22-25) from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for the public (starting at 4 pm for volunteers). Clinic sites will be located on the NIOSA grounds in Clown Alley (Maverick Plaza), South of the Border (Villita St. near Alamo) and Mexican Market (Assembly Bldg. patio) areas. Interested person will need to present identification. Vaccine suppliers will vary and will not be known in advance.

We will continually update our Covid-19 policies. Presently policies and protocols include:

  • A limited number of tickets for each night will be sold HERE.This—and the reduction of food/drink booths and entertainment stages--will allow for more distancing
  • All NIOSA guests must purchase BlastPass—a cashless, touchless wristband to purchase everything onsite at NIOSA (food, beverages and mementos).BlastPass can be purchased HERE on the NIOSA website OR on the NIOSA grounds at the many convenient BlastPass stations. Those stations will also allow guests to load more money on their wristbands.
  • Additional trash receptacles, recycle bins and hand sanitizer/wash stations, as well as new food serving procedures in all booths to minimize contact.
NOTE: Guests should be prepared that NIOSA can be postponed or cancelled in the event that the COVID-19 situation changes.

Proceeds from A Night In Old San Antonio fund the San Antonio Conservation Society’s mission to support restoration and preservation of historic properties, parks, waterways, traditions and the intangible heritage of this multicultural city and its neighboring counties through education, advocacy, grants and preservation projects and programs.
